Mike Harris

Founder, President, & CEO

Mike is a third-generation licensed funeral home director and worked in his family’s funeral home from 1993 – 2016.  When Mike lost his two beloved Rottweilers, Hannah and Luke, he discovered the lack of professionalism and dignified care that was available. Mike decided there was a need in the industry that he could fill.

His loss became a dream. Given his education, training, experience, and family heritage, Mike knew it was his responsibility to improve the quality of end-of-life pet care. He started Pets at Peace by Harris Funeral Home in 2009 and given its immediate success, was able to launch Pet Passages® in 2011. It has grown into a nationwide franchise that has truly set the highest possible standard of dignified, quality care for the pet funeral and cremation profession.

Andrea Dunadee-Harris

Vice President

Andrea’s journey to Pet Passages® started out as a recipient of the kind and compassionate care that Pet Passages® offers. When she was faced with the difficult decision to euthanize her dog, she found great comfort and professionalism from Pet Passages®. It was through this experience that she discovered her true calling and passion: helping others through their incredibly difficult time.

Andrea has taken great pride in growing the Pet Passages® brand and being an advocate to build new relationships with customers and veterinary partners. She is heavily involved in all new franchise development, training, sales, and marketing. Andrea is passionate about ensuring the business runs efficiently while simultaneously elevating the human experience and being there for grieving families.

Julie Heberle

Pet Funeral Director

As a lifelong resident of Macedon NY, Julie has finally found her true passion here at Pet Passages®. All her life she has been a loving pet owner and rescuer to her dogs, horses, goats, cats, and many more. Julie’s aspiration to help and care for others’ pets and their pet parents is what she strives to accomplish every day.

As a veteran of The United States Army, her work ethic and determination for her career shines through at Pet Passages®. Her background in management and customer service are also monumental attributes she displays daily for our pet families and her fellow employees.

Raising her 14-year-old daughter and the devotion to her family is what makes her such an asset to the company, pet families, and their pets that she cares for. When Julie is not on duty at Pet Passages®, her focus is on her family, friends, animals, and the Buffalo Bills!
